How long was he behind that bush?
Look at him.
He’s just sitting there.
Waiting.
Smirking.
How did- how did he even know Rai was going to look behind that bush?
How long was he prepared to sit there if Rai didn’t look behind that bush?
This just raises so many questions.
Maybe he’s psychic or something? He didn’t seem surprised when Rai joined Wuya at the end of season one, and he even taunts the other monks with “I can’t believe you didn’t see that coming.” He knows when to show up at exactly the right moment to save them and has a time machine conveniently laying around so Omi can go into the past to get help from Dashi. (Really Jack? You just happen to have been working on a time machine that you now have finished just in time for them to use it?) Either that or the monks have ridiculous reality defying luck. (Bad luck in the case of Rai stumbling across Jack here, but in Rai’s case he didn’t seem very lucky in the first season.) A lot of things about this show don’t make sense, but that’s why I like it.
